In today's blog post I’m going to talk about cellulite, a problem that 90% of women struggle with every day.
So, you’re thinking, “What does a man know about cellulite and its reduction?” Actually, I know quite a bit. I am not merely the blogger who changed his lifestyle and lost a massive amount of weight. I recently finished my studies to become a Licensed Personal Trainer and dealing with cellulite is part of the service that I provide to my clients.
What Is Cellulite?
Surely, you’ve heard cellulite called “orange peel” at one point or another because of its texture. But what is it really?
Cellulite, is a condition that occurs when fat deposits beneath the skin push against connective tissue and bulge, giving your thighs, buttocks, etc., a dimpled, lumpy appearance. It isn’t harmful to a woman’s health, but it sure can take an emotional toll, and women want to get rid of it at any cost! Imagine being able to wear shorts on a hot day or putting on a bathing suit and feeling good about yourself as you stroll along the beach.
The beauty industry is thriving by offering temporary solutions to cellulite. True, anti-cellulite creams with retinol can rejuvenate skin cells and help strengthen the connective fibers, thus reducing the appearance of cellulite. But not for long! As soon as you stop using the product, the cellulite comes back. It’s really not worth putting a lot of hope in these “miracle” creams and then feel sad, disappointed and ripped-off. Stress is not a good thing!
So I have for you two cellulite-busting tips that will not only take care of the cellulite but also keep you energetic, upbeat and full of life.
#1 Tone Your Trouble Zones
On of the main causes of “orange-peel” skin is mushy, untoned muscles. Firming the muscles underneath the cellulite helps smooth the skin's appearance and prevents cellulite from recurring. I know—exercise is hard, boring and time consuming. But it’s so worth it. You can get rid of the cellulite and feel better all over.
If you are new to exercise, start by learning the mechanics of lunges, leg lifts and squats. These are great cellulite fighters and you don’t need any gym equipment.
Simple Exercise Routine
- Do 10 reps (a set) of each exercise.
- Rest 30 seconds between sets.
- Repeat 3-4 times.
- Rest 3-5 minutes between exercises.
Once you are comfortable with those exercises, combine them with short, intensive workouts. This is basically the thing as doing specific exercises alone, but you will move to the next exercise without resting. These workouts get your whole body involved, and you'll burn calories like never before! Get rid of cellulite and lose weight—can’t beat it!
If you have never ever exercised, you should definitely try the “Rapid Belly Burn“ exercise program by my friend Health Coach Drew. #2 Burn That Fat
Basically, cellulite is fat, and to make it disappear, you'll have to burn it first. Although exercising is an important part of burning fat, it works more efficiently when combined with a balanced diet.
For a great start, cut out processed meals and eat more whole foods. Add more veggies and fruits to your diet. Replace your regular breakfast food with green smoothies. They are a super-delicious way to get five or more servings of fruit/veggies a day and are not time consuming to make. Just put all of the ingredients into a blender, and, just like that, your first meal of the day will be a healthy dessert.
Keep your other meals rich in protein and low in fat. Don't worry about carbs as long as they come from whole foods—carbs are full of fiber and essential nutrients that help burn fat faster.
The key is to keep your calorie intake between 1,200 and 1,500 a day. If you'd like to have a meal plan that suggests what smoothies to drink and what meals to eat every day to fit into this frame, “The Smoothie Diet“ by my friend Health Coach Drew is your answer. I followed it in the beginning of my 60-pound weight loss journey. It is a must have for anyone who’d love to lose weight and get healthy in an easy, natural and safe way.

So what are you going to choose? An all-natural long-term solution to cellulite? Or one that will stop working as soon as you run out of cream? Easy choice, right?
